ステートメントStatement新宅和音Kazune Shintaku

私は、痛みの形を描いています。
絵の中の少女は私自身であり、同時に「他者から見られる身体」でもあります。

油彩とアルキドで滑らかな“膜”をつくるのは、
鑑賞者がその表面を鏡や窓のように覗き込み、
別の世界を感じられるようにするためです。
その膜は、現実と絵のあいだを曖昧にし、
見る人の存在を作品の中に溶け込ませます。

鮮やかな色彩と、描き込みの重さ。
その共存は、可愛らしさと痛みがぶつかり合う人間の複雑さを映し出しています。

私の作品は癒しを目的としていません。
自分が過去に感じた痛みを、見る人にも、未来の自分にも忘れられないように、
生々しく刻みたいと思っています。

近年は、人間とその存在する環境との関係に興味を持ち、
描かれた人物の痛みや感情が、より鮮やかに伝わるように制作しています。

私は、絵を描くことで現実の中に感情の痕跡を残し、
そこに確かな存在を与えたいと考えています。
別府の湯けむりと光の中で、今日も描いています。

I paint the shape of pain.
The girl in my paintings is myself, and at the same time, she is also “a body seen by others.”

I create a smooth “membrane” with oil and alkyd
so that viewers can peer into its surface as if into a mirror or a window,
and sense another world.
This membrane blurs the boundary between reality and the painting,
and lets the viewer’s own presence dissolve into the work.

Vivid colors, and the weight of dense rendering.
Their coexistence reflects the complexity of human beings, in whom cuteness and pain collide.

My work is not intended to heal.
I want to carve the pain I felt in the past, rawly,
so that neither those who see it nor my future self will be able to forget it.

In recent years, I have become interested in the relationship between people and the environments in which they exist,
and I paint so that the pain and emotions of the figures I depict come across more vividly.

Through painting, I want to leave traces of emotion within reality
and give them a definite existence there.
Today, too, I am painting amid the hot-spring steam and light of Beppu.

多摩美術大学大学院博士前期課程デザイン専攻グラフィックデザイン領域修了MFA in Design (Graphic Design), Tama Art University Graduate School
